Absence registration is an important part of the payroll process
For HR, payroll and workforce management teams, absence data is a key part of the payroll foundation. If data is missing, entered incorrectly or does not reach payroll in time, it can lead to additional manual work, delays or payroll errors.
That is why many organizations are looking for more connected processes between the systems that manage employee data, absence and payroll.
What’s new in the HCM Suite?
The HCM Suite now supports absence registration from both Emply People and Lessor Workforce to Lessor Payroll.
This release builds on the integration capabilities already available in the HCM Suite. Today, employee data is synchronized bi-directionally and in real time through the Paychex Europe Integration Platform. This ensures that the same employee information is available across HR, payroll and workforce management.
Absence registration works differently. It is a one-way integration where absence data is shared from Emply People or Lessor Workforce to Lessor Payroll as part of the payroll process. This means that Lessor Payroll receives the required absence registrations, while registration and maintenance continue in the system where the absence was originally recorded.
As part of this release, we are also introducing a new view in Lessor Workforce, giving you an overview of the absence data that has been sent through the Paychex Europe Integration Platform.
Emply People → Lessor Payroll
Absence registrations can be created, updated and shared directly with Lessor Payroll as part of the payroll process. Organizations can choose to manage the process manually or set up automations for relevant payroll groups.
Lessor Workforce → Lessor Payroll
Absence registrations can also be created, updated and deleted in Lessor Workforce and shared with Lessor Payroll. In this scenario, data is transferred as part of the payroll process through a manual batch.
While the processes work differently, the goal is the same: making it easier to get the right absence data into payroll.
What are the benefits?
For organizations working across multiple systems for HR, payroll and workforce management, the primary value is reducing manual work and creating more connected processes.
The new integration capabilities make it possible to:
- Share absence data directly with payroll
- Reduce the need for file exports and imports
- Handle changes and corrections more efficiently
- Create a more consistent data foundation across systems
- Reduce the risk of payroll errors
At the same time, the solution builds on the employee data, departments and dimensions that can already be shared through the Paychex Europe Integration Platform.
